Summary of Activities: October was an equally fun month with lots of time outside again. We slowed down on the water play as our rain suits weren’t completely waterproof and it was getting a bit too chilly for wet clothes. That didn’t stop us from continuing to scoop and dump sand in the sandpit this month! We tried to play with play dough one day and discovered that our stash had gone uber-sticky and it stuck to all of our hands and the table! Ew! We did leaf rubbing this month with crayons and that was fun. We did some birthday celebrating with one of our friends. We also had a few different friends drop in from preschool fall break so we had lots of fun with them. While spending time outside, we discovered a love of collecting rocks/shells and sword fought with sticks! Then we came inside and played with stamps. We even played in the rain a few times with our rainsuits! Towards the end of the month we got a treat with the Boo Box Happy Meals from McDonald’s! How fun! Also, we got a new bubble machine since the old one broke. Overall, it was a great month and we learned a lot about fall and celebrated Halloween! We also learned about how to layer clothes to play outside when it’s cold outside.
